Section 02 · Walkthrough
Five steps to a cited answer.
The Knowledge Agent reads across your documents and answers detailed, multi-part questions in plain English.
01Choose your knowledge
Scope the agent to the documents you want it to read.
- Open the Knowledge Base and expand Containers in the left panel.
- Tick the container you want to search. Here it is BCA NCC, the building codes.
- The document count updates, so you know exactly what the answer will draw on.
WhyScoping keeps the answer focused and fast. Leave everything unticked to search all of your containers at once.
FIG 01
Tick a container to scope the search. Five documents, ready to query.
02Ask in Agent mode
Switch to Agent, then ask a detailed question in plain English.
- Switch the toggle to Agent.
- Type a detailed question. Ask more than one thing at once.
- Press send to start the query.
AgentAgent mode breaks a big question into smaller searches and works through them, so a complex question is fine.
FIG 02
Agent mode on, a detailed question ready to send.
03Read the answer
A clear summary, structured tables, and a citation on every figure.
- You get a summary, then structured tables: requirement, provision, value and citation.
- Every figure ties back to a numbered citation like [8].
- The agent flags where the evidence is thin rather than guessing.
GroundedThe answer is built only from your documents, not the open internet. If it is not in your knowledge, it will say so.
FIG 03

04Check the sources
See every document the answer drew on, and how much of each.
- Scroll to Sources to see every document the answer used.
- Each source shows how many passages were used.
- Nothing is hidden. The answer is assembled only from these.
TrustBecause you can see the evidence, you stay the expert. The agent does the reading, you make the call.
FIG 04
Every answer lists the exact documents behind it.
05Trace a citation to the page
One click from a claim in the answer to the exact page it came from.
- Click a numbered citation to open its exact source.
- The document opens on the right at the precise passage, highlighted.
- Read the original wording in context and confirm it for yourself.
ProofOne click takes you from a claim in the answer to the exact page it came from.
